A chic shopping district with much to offer! Need some new threads? There’s no shortage of stores to choose from. Rolling Back Boutique, Zoolikins, and Vintage by Misty are some of our favorite spots to score fashionable clothing and sweet deals. All that walking can work up an appetite, though. There are over 80 restaurants available, so you’re sure to find something that suits your tastebuds. There are also numerous coffee and juice shops, tap rooms, and ice cream parlors. Beginning in November, events like the Old Town Scottsdale Farmers Market, Canal Convergence, and the Day of the Dog Festival will be taking place. Be sure to check the dates to plan into your vacation schedule accordingly!
Scottsdale’s Museum of the West
A Smithsonian affiliate, Scottsdale’s Museum of the West allows visitors to step back in time to experience the spirit of the wild west. Current main exhibitions include Women of the West, Rails Building America, and Canvas of Clay, just to name a few. From October 19th, 2022 to April 30th, 2023, a featured display, Light and Legacy: The Art and Techniques of Edward S. Curtis, will be ongoing. If you frequently read our blogs, you know we love to mention zoos and animal encounter experiences as often as possible, so we knew we had to add the Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center to our list! This sanctuary promotes conservation and education as part of its mission. Coatimundis, great horned owls, and Mexican gray wolves are only some of the furry mammals that you’ll come across during your visit. If you fall in love with a particular critter, you can sponsor an animal through the Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center’s website.
