It’s safe to say that Orlando, Florida is one of the most popular vacation destinations in the United States. From the sweet summer sunshine to the comfortable winter temperatures that average in the mid-70’s, what’s not to love about the fishing and boating capital of the world? Well, we’ll tell you what there is to love—Walt Disney World! In Orlando’s EPCOT, Disney’s Food & Wine Festival is in full swing! When visiting from now until November 18, 2023, you can partake in the foodie adventure that is the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival when traveling with Sundance Vacations!
The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, much like the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, is a seasonal celebration filled with tons of food and fun with the family. Strong emphasis on the food. If you’re looking to taste delicious delights from around the world while enjoying the wonderous magic that only Disney World can provide, then you’re in the right place. Let’s talk the specifics of this magically memorable event.
Meals, Snacks, & Desserts
Of course, we’re going to start off with the star attraction… the food! This year’s Global Marketplaces include tasty treats and full-on meals from Greece, Ireland, India, Germany, and so many more culinary countries and continents. Below are some of our favorite creations from a few of the booths serving up snacks and beverages this year.
France: Beignet aux Trois Fromages: Warm Beignet filled with Three Cheese Blend.
Belgium: Belgian Waffle with Warm Chocolate Ganache.
Italy: Cavatelli with Sweet Sausage Ragout and Crispy Applewood-Smoked Bacon.
Spain: Paella with Saffron Rice, Chorizo and Shrimp.
Germany: Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce.
Kenya: Kenyan Coffee Barbecued Beef with Sweet Potato-Corn Mealie Pap and Kachumbari Slaw.
Australia: Sweet-and-Spicy Bush Berry Shrimp with Pepper, Onion, Snap Peas and Sweet Chili Sauce.
China: Crispy Duck Bao Bun with Hoisin Sauce.
For those not looking to dive into exotic, unique cuisine, EPCOT’s usuals, like Refreshment Port and Connections Café, will still be cooking up treats from their everyday menus.
Entertainment & Merchandise
The fun doesn’t stop there, though. This festival is jam-packed with music, children’s entertainment, and festival exclusive merchandise. This year’s Eat to the Beat Concert Series has new and returning performers that are ready to turn up the heat and get the party started! Artists include Sugar Ray, Air Supply, Hanson, We the Kings, 38 Special, and more. Aside from visitor favorite EPCOT rides and shows, scavenger hunts will be held to make your child’s day extra special. Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak, Emile’s Fromage Montage, and Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit are three events that you won’t want to miss! It’s the perfect opportunity to get active and creative with the kiddos.
