There are sooooo many reasons to love Wildwood, New Jersey. My first vacation EVER was a trip to Wildwood! I know I’m a little biased, but this place is seriously so much fun! Travel with Sundance Vacations to the Jersey Shore and enjoy a boardwalk full of fun! The Wildwood boardwalk is loaded with attractions great for the whole family! From surf shops to water parks, Wildwood, New Jersey has a little something for everyone! We all love the beach, but who wants to go somewhere with a boring boardwalk? Nobody that’s who! Welcome back to the 50’s! This classic American diner has everything you need to get that nostalgic feeling! If you love burgers, fries, and handspun milkshakes… this is the place for you! I’m always looking for unique burger restaurants, the Doo Wop Diner is one of my favorites! You want chili on your burger? Maybe a fried egg? The burger toppings here are endless! When I go to the Doo Wop Diner, I always get the same things. I order the Bonanza Burger and a cotton candy milkshake! The Bonanza Burger is a half pound burger served with relish, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, and pepper jack cheese! Doesn’t that sound delicious? To be honest even if I didn’t love their food, I would still go for the amazing decor! The Doo Wop Diner looks like a classic 50’s diner! The checkered floors, neon lights, and red leather bar stools are a retro sight to see! So ladies put on a hoop skirt, guys throw on a leather jacket and come visit the Doo Wop Diner!
2. Ocean Oasis Water Park & Beach Club
Now here’s a water park that kids and parents will both love! Ocean Oasis Water Park & Beach Club is a two-in-one attraction! It’s a fun water park for the kids and a relaxing beach club for the adults. You can reserve a private cabana, while your kids play on exciting water slides! Ride down the Cliff Dive slide and drop 5 stories in 3 seconds or race with your family on the six-lane WipeOut slide! Take your little ones to Bonsai Beach, an interactive play area with water jets, climbing ropes, and mini slides! Feeling lazy? Parents can take a ride on the Lazy River! Float around and enjoy tropical cocktails at the swim up bar! If you’re getting hungry, check out Stubborn Brothers Beach Bar & Grille! Try their signature Chicken-N-Waffling Sandwich or the Crabby Cake Sandwich! Ocean Oasis Water Park & Beach Club is the definition of family fun!
This is my all-time favorite place on the Wildwood boardwalk! When I go on vacation, the first thing I do is track down the best local surf shop! As soon as I stepped onto the boardwalk, Wild Ocean Surf Shop immediately stood out to me. The shop is painted bright yellow and has some really cool artwork on the side of the building! This store is great for anyone who loves to surf or just loves surfer inspired clothing. I personally don’t surf, but I wanted to buy the entire store! Wild Ocean Surf Shop has a wide variety of clothing and accessories from brands like Roxy, Vans, Billabong, Rip Curl, Neff, and many more! Wild Ocean Surf Shop has been providing Wildwood with laid back style since 1984! Teens and young adults will love this shopping attraction!
Got a sweet tooth? Laura’s Fudge is a super adorable bakery in Wildwood! When I say adorable, I literally mean ADORABLE! The outside of the building is bright pink and white, with two cute fudge chefs sitting on top of the roof! The menu includes homemade salt water taffy, almond butter crunch, caramel corn, gummy candy, gourmet apples… and of course fudge! Laura’s Fudge also makes a variety of chocolate covered goodies! Chocolate covered pretzels, marshmallows, and strawberries are all waiting to be devoured! Fudge is the title for a reason! Laura’s Fudge offers 17 different options of homemade fudge. They also have 5 sugar-free fudge options as well. So what’s their secret? Laura’s Fudge is made with pure whipping cream! This bakery isn’t just delicious, it’s a great photo op! Take some pics of this unique fudge shop! Where else are you going to find a place with cute fudge chefs sitting on the roof?
5. Gateway 26
A casino and arcade? Gateway 26 sits right on the boardwalk and is a unique gaming experience! Not only is this place an exciting casino for adults, it’s a fun arcade for kids! If gambling is your thing, enjoy playing a variety of slot machines and table games. Gateway 26 offers casino games including Blackjack, Pokerino, Deal or No Deal, Loto-Fun, and much more! On the Arcade side play a variety of claw machines, car racing games, dancing games, boxing games, and the classic Mr. Pac-Man! My favorite game is Raptor Captor, it is a Jurassic Park themed target game! (LOL I’m wearing a Jurassic Park t-shirt while writing this!) Play games and collect tickets to win fabulous prizes! The last time I went to Gateway 26, my friend won a giant stuffed monkey! It took four people to carry it back to our hotel! Don’t worry about directions, you won’t miss the giant “Gateway 26” letters in flashing neon lights! Stop in and play to win!
