Looking for a fun fall getaway? Then look no further. Woodfield Manor, a Sundance Vacations property stationed in a cozy section of the Poconos, is the perfect place to spend a cool, crisp weekend. Whether it’s heart-racing haunted attractions or a playful romp through a pumpkin patch, there’s a local hotspot for every member of the family to enjoy right around the corner!
Hotel of Horror
If you’re a fan of Halloween spooks and scares, Hotel of Horror is the place to check in. The Poconos most popular haunted attraction, Hotel of Horror is an indoor walk-through attraction filled with nightmares haunting every room and hall. Created in an abandoned resort once known as The Lake House Hotel, some say that the actors aren’t the only monsters and ghouls lurking around. With three main separate attractions–Hotel of Horror, Altered Nightmares, and Theatre of the Damned–there’s enough to keep your blood pumping all night. You can even initiate the scares with an interactive activity meant for guests to perfectly time the animatronics to jump out at unsuspecting victims. This is just one of the many Halloween attractions in the area, but it’s definitely a favorite of resident PA horror junkies and should top anyone’s spooky bucket list! This isn’t the only place where real-life ghosts like to hang out. Woodfield Manor itself has a frightening past attached to it.

Mazezilla Corn Maze and Klingel’s Farm
If horror thrill seeking isn’t your thing, have no fear! A family-friendly place that everyone will love is Mazezilla Corn Maze and Klingel’s Family Farm. Located less than twenty minutes away from Woodfield Manor, Klingel’s is jam-packed with fall fun. This year’s maze theme is PA wildlife. Each section of the maze has been shaped into different animals that you can find right here in PA. Don’t let the cuteness fool you, though, this is one tricky maze to navigate. Children will have fun petting and feeding the animals, playing the pumpkin launch, and running around the hayfort and corn box. Their produce stand is filled with fresh fruits and vegetables, but the main vegetable you want to look for is a pumpkin! With acres of pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, it won’t be difficult to find the perfect one to carve into a jack-o-lantern. Klingel’s has great activities that will keep you busy and entertained all day, and is a must-visit spot while in the Poconos.
The Frogtown Chophouse
To bring the perfect day to a close, why not stop by The Frogtown Chophouse? Conveniently located inside Woodfield Manor, this steakhouse is the perfect place to relax and unwind with a nice warm meal after a chilly day spent outside. With an expansive menu featuring seafood, salads, and succulent steaks, you’ll never run out of tasty options. Cozy up by the fireplace and listen to some live music while you sip on some of the best martinis and cocktails that Northeastern PA has to offer. The warm atmosphere and lovely staff will have you coming back for more in no time.
