The Christie Lodge, Vail CO
The Vail Ski Resort is located a convenient 14 minutes away from The Christie Lodge and provides several different legendary terrain options. Blue Sky Basin has you completely immersed in nature for a backcountry feel, while Sun Up & Sun Down Bowl offers wide open terrain and panoramic views. Though the trails are more suited for advanced skiers, 18% of the terrain is designated for beginners, while 29% is more middle-level skiers. Winter hours of operation run from November 11, 2022 and its closing date is TBD, but the resort usually closes for the season in early May.
Lodge By The Blue, Breckenridge, CO
Breckenridge, Colorado is an extremely popular skiing destination and The Breckenridge Ski Resort is located 17 minutes from our curated property, Lodge By The Blue. The Breckenridge Ski Resort offers three base areas, five peaks, and over 3,000 acres of terrain. Four of the five peaks are currently open, Peak 7, Peak 8, Peak 9, and Peak 10—all of which vary in intensity. Peak 7 is the smallest base area described as being relaxed. Peak 8, “The Heartbeat,” is the center for all the action. This is a perfect middle-of-the-road bowl skiing location for beginners and experts. Peak 8 is a great spot to learn the basics and provides a mellow atmosphere. Peak 10 is where is starts to get a little crazy, aptly named “The Wild Child.” If you’re looking for steep slopes and advanced terrain, Peak 10 is for you! Lift and terrain status can conveniently be accessed online so that you’re also updated on the current conditions at The Breckenridge Ski Resort!
Woodfield Manor, The Poconos PA
There are quite a few ski resorts in and around the Poconos such as Blue Mountain Ski Resort, Camelback Mountain Resort, Jack Frost Big Boulder, Shawnee Mountain, and Ski Big Bear. The most popular among Woodfield Manor and Snow Ridge Village visitors is Jack Frost Big Boulder. Jack Frost Big Boulder can be reached via I-80 E, and is a 30 minute drive from Woodfield Manor. Both Big Boulder Mountain and Jack Frost Mountain offer an extensive list of trails, with Big Boulder having 15 and Jack Frost having 20 (4 easier, 6 more difficult, 8 most difficult, and 2 terrain parks.) Jack Frost Mountain’s opening day was December 2, 2022 and Big Boulder Mountain’s opening day was December 26. The closing dates for both mountains are TBD.
Attitash Mountain Village, Bartlett NH
Attitash Mountain Resort is located mere steps away from Attitash Mountain Village, making it a prime location for visitors of the resort. Attitash Mountain Resort is open for those looking to partake in classic New England skiing! Ski and snowboard your heart out over 311+ acres of different trails—68 trails, to be exact! There are two distinct sides to this massive mountain, the Attitash Side and Bear Peak Side. If you’re looking for a thrill, Bear Peak is for you Out of the two sides, it contains more winding, formidable trails. The average season length at Attitash Mountain Resort begins in December and ends in April, but official dates are still TBD.
Park Regency, Park City UT
Park City Mountain is a hop, skip, and a jump away from our Park Regency resort, being only 4 minutes away! Park City Mountain is a location that provides top-notch slopes and perfectly manicured terrain for both beginners and those with skiing experience. With 330+ trails, over 7,300 skiable acres, and 355 inches of average snowfall, Park City Mountain is a winter sports enthusiast’s winter wonderland and a majority of the terrain is best for intermediate and expert skiers, as it makes up 92% of the powdered landscape! Park City Mountain has hosted four Olympic events and six of the ten U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team medals were won on the mountain. Winter operating dates are from November 16, 2022 until April 9, 2023.
Bent Creek Resort, Gatlinburg TN
There’s so much more to Ober Gatlinburg than just skiing, which makes it a hotspot for many different types of winter enthusiasts. Located a short drive away from Bent Creek Resort Gatlinburg, Ober Gatlinburg is chockfull of family friendly activities, including ice bumper cars, ice skating, a wildlife habitat, alpine slide, rock climbing wall, and more. As for skiing, slopes typically open around early to mid December. First time skiers and snowboarders are required to take lessons from a trained, qualified instructor. Tickets can be found online, along with pricing for weekend and holiday dates.
