There’s so much to experience in Pennsylvania, from the frosty mountain peaks to the broad, action-packed valleys. Luckily, there’s no shortage of experiences to be had around our properties, Woodfield Manor, Snow Ridge Village, and Spilt Rock Resort.
Camelback 60th Celebration
Camelback Ski Resort, located in Tannersville near the Pocono Premium Outlets, offers ski enthusiasts the opportunity to glide down the largest mountain in the Poconos. Divide your for optimal fun—spend time on the slopes and slide into soothing waters at the Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark. When visiting on January 27th, you can join in the festivities to celebrate Camelback’s 60th anniversary! Catch live music, children’s activities, and so much more at this après-party.
Eagle Watch Bus Trip
The bald eagle, one of our nation’s most iconic symbols, can be elusive in the wild. If you’ve never seen one of these majestic avians in person, the Delaware Highlands Conservancy offers visitors the chance to spot them with the help of professional guides. In the winter, these large predators swoop closer to the snowy ground in search of food. While on the tour, you can learn more about bald eagles, their habitat, and the Delaware River region. These popular bus tours tend to fill up fast, so be sure to grab your seat ahead of them so you don’t miss out!
Wally Ice Fest
The Wally Ice Fest is perfect for hockey lovers and sporty spectators, though there’s much more to this annual event than just sports. Guests can enjoy a plethora of activities including live music, bonfires, ice golf, keg curling, keg tossing, axe throwing, and more. This year, the event is expected to host 30+ teams from Long Island, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and several other states and cities. Food and drinks will be made available through local vendors. The event will be held in Newfoundland, PA, for two days on February 3rd and 4th.
Winter Beer Festival
Even cold drinks can keep you warm and fuzzy this winter, especially when you visit the Pocono Winter BeerFest. Huddle inside the historic Sherman Theater and sample over one-hundred hand selected craft brews. Featured local breweries include Great Lakes, Flying Fish, Yards, Founders, Devil’s Backbone, Shiner, Fordham & Dominion, Lancaster, Irving Cliff, Neshaminy Creek, Goose Island, Nimble Hill, and many more. Attend this super tasty event for a small admission fee and support local businesses!
Annual Jim Thorpe WinterFest
The Jim Thorpe WinterFest in one of the most exciting, activity-filled events held yearly in the small town. From February 16th to February 18th, you can join in the festivities, which kicks off with a Luminary Walk where walkers can take in the velvety, star-dotted night sky. Throughout the course of the festival you can partake in ice carvings, live entertainment, trolley tours, carriage rides, food and drink specials, Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway round-trip rain rides, and the famous Mug Walk, which you can read more about by visit Best of Jim Thorpe.

Arctic Paws Dog Sled Tours
We’ve discussed Arctic Paws Dog Sled Tours previously, but they’re too darn cute not to mention again! What’s better than sledding? Sledding with a pack of cuddly, furry huskies, of course! The Arctic Paws pups love to run the trails with or without snow, though depending on the amount of snow, tours are also conducted via UTVs. Delaware State Forest
The Delaware State Forest stretches a total of 83,519 acres throughout Pike County, Monroe County, Northampton County, and Carbon County. Known for its scenic beauty, the Delaware State Forest is perfect for winter recreation like snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing. With miles of delicately groomed trails dedicated to hiking, snowmobiles, and other winter sports, this unique landscape will provide the perfect outdoor experience for you and your family!
