Water Activities

The Flyboard is one of the coolest new water activities!

From swimming and floating, to rafting and soaring, Myrtle Beach has just about every water activity you can think of! Some family favorites that first come to mind include; the Banana Boat, Jet skiing, Parasailing, Kayaking/Paddle boarding, surfing, Jet-packing and fly boarding!

One popular place for lessons is Kokopelli Surf Lessons Paddleboard Kayak Tours & Rentals! There were rated the #1 Surf School in Myrtle Beach by TripAdvisor!

If you’re looking for a one stop shop, Island Adventure Watersports is also a great place to rent items! Their services include; Jet Ski Rentals and Guided Jet Ski Tours, Pontoon Boat Rentals, Wakeboard Lessons, Banana Boat Rides, Paddleboarding, Kayaking, and The Flyboard. (One of the coolest new water sports!)

Want to hang out in the water and have a couple drinks? The East Coast BrewBoat combines beer, biking, and boating to provide one memorable adventure! Jump on board, grab a seat, and use your legs to pedal through the water while having the drink! This makes a great time for friends and family!

Golf

With over 100 golf courses in Myrtle Beach, you can see why some call it the supermarket of golf. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced golfer you’ll have a course you can work with.

Miniature Golf

Other than being known for their golf courses, Myrtle Beach also claims to be the “miniature golf capital of the world,” hosting 50 miniature golf courses! From man-eating dinosaurs and lava-spewing volcanoes to high seas adventures aboard pirate ships, everyone will find their favorite course!

Fishing

When fishing in Myrtle Beach, you can choose between fresh water and salt water!

Spend the day freshwater/inland fishing on the Intracoastal Waterway, which runs parallel to the coast, and merges with the Waccamaw River. Along the way other rivers and tributaries feed into the ocean through Little River or Winyah Bay, so watch how far you go!

Saltwater fishing is a deep sea adventure! You’ll have the chance to catch those big, large fish in the deep water, while having some amazing views! If you’d like to do some salt water fishing, but get seasick, you can check out Apache Pier, and fish right off it!

The most common fish caught in the waters off the coast of Myrtle Beach is black: sea bass, snapper, grouper, larger sea bass, trigger, wahoo, and king mackerel.

Family Kingdom Amusement Park

Family Kingdom Amusement Park is located on Ocean Boulevard, in the heart of Myrtle Beach, the amusement park has more than 38 rides for adults and children!

Splashes Oceanfront Water Park is part of Family Kingdom, and it’s located across the street from the amusement park! The park has 18 attractions, including a lazy river with waterfalls, water flumes, and eight kiddie slides.

In 2007, TripAdvisor named Family Kingdom and Splashes number five on its list of the top 10 amusement parks outside Orlando!

Broadway at the Beach

Broadway at the Beach is a favorite travel destination in South Carolina, and the largest entertainment venue of its kind in the state featuring unique specialty shops, dining, award-winning attractions, nightlife and relaxing accommodations!

SkyWheel is the second largest Ferris wheel in North America!

SkyWheel

Sit back and relax as you get a once in a life time view of the Grand Strand with a rare bird’s eye view of the breathtaking high-rise hotel skyline and sky-blue Atlantic waters!

SkyWheel is a 187-foot tall Ferris wheel that opened in Myrtle Beach in 2011! Skywheel has “42 glass-enclosed, temperature controlled gondolas which seat six passengers!

Nightlife

Myrtle Beach may be known as a great destination for kids, but it also has some great nightlife for adults!

Some popular spots are Club OZ, Broadway Louie’s, and The Boathouse Waterway Bar & Grill!

Club OZ Opened at Broadway at the Beach in 2017, Club OZ is one of the hottest nightclubs in the area! Club OZ has different nightly themes, so every night you can experience a new party!

Broadway Louie’s– Known as one of the best sports bars in Myrtle Beach, it’s the perfect place to sit back and watch some sports or play some games! If you’re not a sports fan, it’s also a premier bar for karaoke! The bar includes three bars, one with many craft brews on tap, one with a large performance stage, and an upstairs whiskey bar and lots of video and arcade games!

The Boathouse Waterway Bar & Grill– The Boathouse Waterway Bar & Grill is a rustic bar with free live music great food and draft beer!

Boardwalk

The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk & Promenade is one of the most popular spots along the beach during the summer! The boardwalk is home to festivals and events, including Ocean Boulevard’s Hot Summer Nights located at Plyler Park in the heart of the downtown area. Always a family favorite, the boardwalk provides oceanfront views of the pristine beach line, and numerous shops and restaurants along its path!
