Sundance Vacations, a wholesale vacation company with locations in Wilkes-Barre, Harrisburg, Pittsburgh and King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, as well as Downersgrove, Illinois; Indianapolis, Indiana; Parsippany, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C., prides itself on giving back to the communities it serves by donating to various charities.
As part of its charitable efforts, Sundance Vacations recently presented a $2,000 donation to the Children’s Service Center (CSC), a non-profit agency located at 335 South Franklin St. in Wilkes-Barre.
Since 1862, Children’s Service Center has cared for children and adolescents with mental, emotional and behavioral health issues. The organization has provided hope, health and healing for children and their families for more than 150 years. Most of the 4,500 young people served by Children’s Service Center are disadvantaged and if the CSC was not here to help them, they most likely would not be helped.
“Due to budget cuts, decreased program funding, increased regulatory oversight and an increased demand for skilled professionals, CSS and all non-profits are facing overwhelming challenges,” said Michael P. Hopkins, CSC President and CEO.
Continuing, Hopkins said, “We offer our heartfelt thanks to Sundance Vacations for its generous donation. It will go a long way in helping us continue to provide the services that so many children need to live healthier and happier lives.”

The Children’s Service Center is just one of many organizations that Sundance Vacations extends an open hand to through its charitable endeavors. Sundance always stresses the importance of paying it forward by offering assistance to those facing dire circumstances due to the current economic climate.
