The rankings are in and Sundance Vacations showed its business acumen and savvy as it relates to being among the best places to work in two different states.
Sundance Vacations, with corporate headquarters in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, recently received word that it was one of 38 large companies to be selected as one of the Best Places To Work in New Jersey by the publication NJBIZ. In the final rankings, which were announced May 1 at a special awards dinner at the Hyatt Regency New Brunswick, Sundance’s Parsippany office was ranked as the 12th best place to work in New Jersey.
And that accomplishment was followed up by Sundance Vacations being selected as one of the top 100 Best Places to Work in Illinois. Sundance was ranked as the 13th best place to work in Illinois at an awards dinner on May 12 at the Marriott Chicago Oak Brook.
In both instances, the rankings of best places to work were based on the criteria of “companies dedicated to employees’ growth and quality of life” and Sundance came through with shining colors.
“We’re blessed to have excellent managers and employees in New Jersey. Being of Italian descent, our manager Mike Milillo really knows how to make everyone feel like family (like the Olive Garden commercial depicts). He is loyal to his employees and they know he truly cares about them. This BPTW honor really belongs to the local management team in New Jersey. We’re happy to play a small part and set a vision for the company that enables special things to happen among our staff,” said Tina Dowd, co-founder of Sundance Vacations with her husband, John.
Being ranked as the 12th best place to work in New Jersey is a vast improvement over last year (2013) when Sundance was ranked at #29, which shows why the Wilkes-Barre-based wholesale travel company has been honored numerous times for its business ethics, workplace policies, practices and philosophy.
“It’s a fantastic accomplishment to see Sundance’s marketing offices in two different states being selected as best places to work. Like our New Jersey office, we have to laud of Downers Grove managers and employees for orchestrating our high ranking insofar as best places to work are concerned. It only goes to show our commitment to improving the overall well-being of our employees in an office environment. And this wouldn’t be possible without the guidance of our managers,” Dowd emphasized.
Sundance Vacations continues to set the bar high when it comes to earning accolades from its business peers and organizations throughout the United States. Sundance has developed quite a knack for capturing prestigious awards and rankings in a wide variety of categories due to the commitment of its workforce.
