Opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
A few months back we discussed the exciting news that Splash Mountain was receiving a The Princess and the Frog makeover. We’ve been seeing a lot of online design leaks that have really amped up the excitement of this highly anticipated addition to Frontier Town. Well, as of writing this, we officially have an opening date for the ride. Guests can experience the charm and wonder of the bayou beginning on June 28th, 2024! Reviews of the enchanting musical adventure have been pouring in by parkgoers and they’re all overwhelmingly positive! If you’re eager to see what this log flume has in store, Disney released a full-ride POV that’ll make watchers feel like they’re traveling down the Louisiana bayou with Tiana and friends.
New to EPCOT
One of the most talked about additions to EPCOT is ¡Celebración Encanto!—a summer sing-along show for families. The show will be in the newly constructed CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza. Characters like Mirabel and Bruno will make appearances to join in the fun! Mickey & Friends can also be found at a new meet-and-greet spot next to CommuniCore Hall. Two top attractions that are drawing guests to the park are Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Journey of Water—a Moana walkthrough attraction. We’ve heard many people say that Cosmic Rewind is easily the best ride in all of Walt Disney World! Journey of Water is a relaxing encircled experience filled with gorgeous water features and topiary designs. Whether you’re looking for an action-packed day or a calming jaunt through the park, EPCOT has it all.
New to Hollywood Studios
With Inside Out 2 on the horizon, it’s only natural that the emotions would make their debut. Joy made her first appearance in Hollywood Studios on June 10th with many more appearances slated for the coming weeks to coincide with the film’s release. Top attractions in Hollywood Studios are Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and of course, the park’s icon, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Spectacular must-see shows are For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration, Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage, and Fantasmic! With ever-changing and developing interactions, dining experiences, and entertainment, there’s something for everyone at Hollywood Studios.
30th Anniversary of The Lion King at Animal Kingdom
Yeah, we can’t believe it, either. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the beloved Disney classic, The Lion King, and of course, Walt Disney World is celebrating in style! Disney’s Animal Kingdom, which already hosts the Festival of the Lion King, will offer exclusive meet-and-greets and merchandise to commemorate the movie’s major milestone. Park guests can meet Rafiki and Timon at Rafiki’s Planet Watch while posing with their limited edition Pumbaa popcorn container! One of the most delicious sounding treat options is the “Remember Who You Are” dessert, which is a Kenyan coffee mousse filled with caramelized bananas, chai chantilly, banana-caramel sauce, chocolate-coffee crumble, chocolate decoration, and a sugar sun. There’s much to see and experience during this once-in-a-lifetime celebration!
Splash Into Typhoon Lagoon
While every day in Florida is a great day for a dip in the pool, there’s no better time to hit Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon than the summertime! The totally rad Typhoon Lagoon has been inviting guests to splash and thrash in its wild waves since the 1990s! This fan-favorite waterpark has several exhilarating attractions, like Crush ‘n’ Gush, Gangplank Falls, the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool, and so many more. Disney’s H2O Glow After Hours offers guests the opportunity to experience the park after dark! With live DJ music and character meet-and-greets, this summer add-on adds an extra splash of fun to your visit!
