Summer time has always been, and probably will always remain, the best season for a road trip.
The weather is nice, the sun is shining and that makes for the perfect time to roll the windows down, crank some tunes and feel the fresh air as you slice through it with an open hand.
Plus, with gas prices still at some of the lowest rates they have been in years, the 2016 summer season is shaping up to be one of the biggest, most action-packed, road-tripping-est summers ever. At least in the last decade or so.
According to a survey conducted by Enterprise Rent-A-Car, nearly 75 percent of travelers prefer to drive to their destination for one main reason. It provides them with the freedom to do and see what they want as they make their way to their end point.
One of the things that makes the open road so freeing is the ability to choose. Should we take I-80 or I-70? Should we hit that diner or stop at Chipotle for a bite? Should we stop and visit the World’s Largest Truck Stop?
Another choice, equally as important as destinations, stops and places to eat, is that of the music selection.
And let me tell you, choosing the perfect road-trip music is no joke. It could quite possibly be one of the most important jobs during the journey!
But now, thanks to our amazing technological universe, it is possible to build the perfect playlists for your travels. Whether you are buying songs through iTunes or using an online service like Spotify, you can be sure that your soundtrack for summer will be flawless.
